David Hatwell

CEO, Chief Executive Officer, The Aegis Companies

Aegis’ founding partner and president, David Hatwell, applies his project controls expertise to create individualized solutions for each client. A respected leader in the field of project controls, he is a sought-after expert in scheduling and dispute resolution.  David has scheduled over $15 billion of projects with a special focus on “mega” projects, such as military, corporate campuses, and hospitals. He represents designers, construction managers, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in all phases of construction.

Prior to founding Aegis, David was the vice president of an international scheduling and dispute resolution management firm. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is an accredited member of ASME, AACE, and PMI.

Michael Bonistalli

President, The Aegis Companies

Michael Bonistalli serves as the President of The Aegis Companies. He has nearly 15 years of experience operating or advising mid-sized national and international services firms.

Before joining Aegis, Bonistalli worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Macquarie Capital, where most of his time was focused on M&A advisory and capital structuring for Financial Technology (“Fintech”) and outsourced business service companies, domestically and internationally. Bonistalli spent the beginning of his career working at a leading online financial services firm serving investment professionals, rising to Director of Product Development and Project Management, where he led the development efforts of new business lines, product improvements, and efficiency initiatives.

Bonistalli received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Robert Plunkett

President, Planning and Scheduling

A noted expert in CPM scheduling, Aegis Project Controls President Robert Plunkett brings more than 30 years of experience to the table. Due to his detailed planning and thorough monthly monitoring of projects, over 95 percent of the schedules developed and managed by Plunkett have been completed on the original or adjusted completion date. Plunkett has extensive experience in the analysis and quantification of schedule impacts. He has represented contractors and owners in disputes through mediation and one-on-one negotiation. Plunkett’s services include the development of CPM baseline schedules, monthly updates, progress reporting, resource management, and review of change orders and delays. Additionally, Plunkett has performed time impact analyses and negotiations of time and equitable costs for contractors and owners. Plunkett has developed comprehensive schedules for wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, airports, bridges and highways, K-12 schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, housing complexes, and research facilities.

Jodi Staub

President, Planning and Scheduling

With over 30 years of construction industry experience, Jodi Staub excels in scheduling and risk management for large commercial and institutional projects. As the former vice president of operational risk management at Gilbane Building Company, she collaborated with project teams to mitigate risk on complex construction projects. Earlier senior roles include serving as the department head responsible for project controls in the Mid-Atlantic region. Staub’s impressive career includes roles at esteemed organizations such as Turner Construction, ICF Kaiser Engineers, and Warner Consultants. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. Beyond her professional achievements, she actively volunteers in community and educational initiatives.

Russell Wodiska

President, Mid-Atlantic (Silver Spring, MD)

Despite the best efforts and intentions of all parties, sometimes construction projects can just go wrong… really wrong. When this happens, it is important to get help and expert advice. Russell Wodiska, the President of the Dispute Resolution department, is an expert at evaluating and analyzing these difficult and often complex situations. Wodiska has extensive experience delving into the cause and effect of construction delays and determining what caused the critical delay, who was responsible, and the associated financial damages.

With over two decades of consulting experience, real-life in-the-trenches construction business experience, twelve years as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Falls Church, and over a decade dealing exclusively with construction disputes, Mr. Wodiska has a comprehensive understanding of the issues, processes, and analytical solutions. Throughout his career, Mr. Wodiska has successfully worked on countless construction disputes with many of the nation’s top contractors. Mr. Wodiska is a testifying expert and a certified Earned Value Professional from AACEI. He also holds a degree in economics from The London School of Economics and an MBA in finance from The George Washington University. When not analyzing claims, Russell spends his free time attempting to reach new heights, climbing the mountains of the world.

Kyle MacDonald

CFO, Chief Financial Officer, The Aegis Companies

Kyle MacDonald is a dynamic business professional with a versatile skillset in finance, technology, management, and human resources. MacDonald serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Aegis and is responsible for the day-to-day business support functions and financial management of the organization. Over MacDonald’s near-decade with Aegis, he’s helped the organization grow over 35% annually and establish an industry presence across the US. Through MacDonald’s involvement in implementing and managing different internal systems and processes within Aegis, the company has established a solid foundation to support its vigorous business and unique corporate culture.

MacDonald received his bachelor’s degree in Management from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Oracle Primavera P6 Implementation Specialist. When Mr. MacDonald is not crunching numbers and strategy for Aegis, he is probably on a basketball court working on his jump shot.

Rachel Zukrow

CPO, Chief People Officer, The Aegis Companies

Rachel Zukrow is the Chief People Officer. Leading all human resources functions for Aegis, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, change management, talent management, and recruitment.

Before joining Aegis, Zukrow managed the human resource function for a consulting firm with 140+ employees throughout the United States. During her ten-year tenure, the organization increased its employee count by 110 percent. Prior to this role, Ms. Zukrow worked for a temporary staffing and executive recruiting firm in Washington, DC.

Zukrow received a B.A. from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She is a Certified Staffing Professional, PHR and SHRM-CP certified.

Stew Meny

Vice President, Revenue Operations

Stew Meny oversees Aegis’s business development efforts. He has more than 20 years of experience in construction management, program management, and business development.

Before joining Aegis, Meny held several senior positions, including VP of business development for Procon Consulting, where he led all sales and marketing activities associated with major accounts and strategy for the Construction Management division. He has also held senior construction management and program management roles at Jacobs Engineering and Jones Lang Lasalle, where he was directly responsible for overseeing and executing projects for U.S. government and commercial clients.

Meny received a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Engineering in Construction Management from the University of Maryland, A. James Clark School of Engineering.

Mark Davies

President, Risk Services
Mark Davies brings 30+ years of experience in project and construction management to Aegis’ Risk Services service line. He can fulfill a number of project and construction management roles depending on the projects’ needs and is highly adept at both proactive and forensic construction consulting. This experience allows him an unparalleled ability to assess and react to challenges at all stages of the construction process.
Before Aegis, Davies was a managing director at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) and head of the Latin America region for the Construction Solutions Group. He is considered an expert project controls manager with significant experience in project management, construction management, and project controls (contracts, claims and disputes, scheduling, and cost). Davies’ experience is broad-based; he has been part of the senior management team on several international projects in Europe, South Africa, and South America.
Davies holds degrees in Business Management and N3 Engineering and Technical Drawing at Damelin College and Benoni Technical College, respectively, in South Africa. Transferring in 2005 and recognized as a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at Cal Tech University.

Mike Carey

Senior Vice President, Construction Management and Mountain West (Salt Lake City, UT)

Mike leads our Construction Management service line, representing and advising owners in all stages of project development, and serves as the Regional Manager for our Mountain West office in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

An accomplished construction executive with over 22 years of industry experience managing multiple projects and teams across a diverse cross-section of market sectors and geographies, Carey understands what is necessary to build high-performing teams of internal and external stakeholders to deliver predictable outcomes. Having delivered more than $5B over his career in project management as a general contractor, Carey also understands the behaviors and leadership required at every level of enterprise, program, and project management. 

Carey holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Alfred University in Alfred, NY, where he has served as a Trustee since 2016. He has been active in local and regional chapters of DBIA, ULI, NAIOP, and the LCI CoP since moving to Utah in 2011. 

Brook Bolger

President, West Coast (Irvine, CA)

As head of Aegis West Coast office in Irvine, CA, Brook Bolger maintains the company’s dedication to high-quality project controls, culture of innovation, and commitment to excellence. Throughout his career with Aegis, Bolger has built a reputation for tackling some of Aegis’ largest and most complicated projects, including the National Geospatial Agency East Campus, US Army Medical Institute for Chemical Defense Facility, Water Reed National Military Medical Center, Social Security Administration Headquarters, CA State-Route 91 and numerous others. In addition to daily management of the West Coast operations, Bolger spends time with his peers within Aegis reviewing best practices and methods to ensure that Aegis clients are consistently provided the most innovative and state-of-the-art work product the project controls industry has to offer.

Bolger grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, and holds a BS from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, with concentrations in Business, Legal Studies, and Philosophy.

Brad Daniels

Senior Vice President, Pacific Northwest (Portland, OR)

As head of the Pacific Northwest region and based in Portland, OR, Brad Daniels brings nearly 15 years of project controls expertise to the construction industry, specializing in CPM scheduling and delay claims analysis. Throughout his career, he has worked on projects for owners and contractors in the heavy civil, water/wastewater, commercial, and nuclear industries and has experience in all major project delivery methods.

Daniels takes pride in bridging the gap between the office and the field by creating pragmatic tools that both identify and protect against risk and facilitate meaningful communication between all stakeholders. 

Daniels was born and raised in Southern California and earned his bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis on Language and Literature from Cal State Dominguez Hills. 

Wayne Manning

Senior Vice President, Mid-Atlantic (Silver Spring, MD)

With over 20 years in the field as a superintendent, Wayne Manning combines real-life construction acumen with expert-level scheduling. This unique blend of experience allows Manning to provide Aegis’ clients with the technical insight of an experienced construction professional as it applies to scheduling and construction management.

Manning has managed the construction of $400 million in projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region. While managing these projects, Manning was personally responsible for all aspects of construction, from subcontractor management to design and change management. Manning has scheduled over $500 million in construction projects, with a focus on complex, multi-story healthcare facilities and wastewater treatment plants.

Steven Murray

President, Southwest (Dallas, TX)

Steven Murray oversees the Dallas office. He utilizes his project controls expertise to provide his clients innovative and top-quality services and work product. Mr. Murray has scheduled over $10 billion of projects and programs for some of the largest companies in the world. On these projects and programs, he developed personalized procedures and deliverables in order to meet clients’ needs. His specialty is in large scale projects, such as corporate campuses and data centers.

Mr. Murray has experience representing general contractors, construction managers, owners, and subcontractors in all phases of construction. Steven began working for Aegis in 2013 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland. He is an accredited member of the AACE.

Christopher Saint

President, Northeast (Philadelphia, PA)

Chris Saint is the Senior Vice President of the Northeast region, based in Philadelphia, PA.  Throughout his career at Aegis, Mr. Saint’s resume includes some of the biggest and most complex projects in the country, with a specific focus on multi-family and data centers.  Mr. Saint believes that a robust project controls plan is crucial to the success of projects and works daily with clients to both develop and maintain the processes required to ensure an on time delivery. These same standards are instilled throughout his entire team to ensure the best quality product is provided to our clients at all times.

Mr. Saint grew up in Gaithersburg, MD, attending Gonzaga College High School and later graduating from Penn State University with a B.A. in Marketing and a Minor in Economics. While at Penn State, Mr. Saint was an accomplished rugby player, captaining the team and earning All-American honors in 2010, 2011, and 2012. He has also gone on to represent the United States in rugby at the U-19, U-20, and Senior Men’s level.

Jose Guevara

Senior Vice President, Southeast (Orlando, FL)

Jose Guevara is a Chief Scheduling Engineer & Senior Vice President of the Southeast Region. Mr. Guevara’s interest in construction started as a high schooler, working during the summer with his father on storm water projects in Montgomery County, MD.  Mr. Guevara is PSP certified with AACEI and is pursuing his CM-LEAN certification with Lean Construction Institute. After studying Civil Engineering at the University of Hartford, Mr. Guevara returned to his hometown of Washington, D.C. to start his career in project management which turned into almost a decade of work on several heavy civil & highway projects. After his involvement on the WMATA Blue Line Extension project, he shifted his career to focus solely on the project controls profession.

Mr. Guevara joined Aegis Project Controls in 2008 and has gone on to build a project portfolio which includes high rise construction, government facility renovations, education renovation and new construction, water/wastewater, design-build, and mining. As a competitive project controls firm, Aegis has become a National Corporate member of the Lean Construction Institute to expand its services to Lean practices. Jose has published a blog on how Lean construction methods & CPM scheduling can work together as a part of Aegis’ pursuits to provide the best tools for its clientele. Jose continues to stay passionate about being part of a firm that has enhanced builders’ efforts to provide the best projects in the Greater Orlando area and across the nation.

Nick Giambra

Senior Vice President, Mid-Atlantic

Aegis’ Regional Senior Vice President, Nick Giambra, utilizes a diverse portfolio history of projects and clients to design schedules and project controls procedures for the benefit of the client and the project. While based out of Silver Spring, Maryland, Mr. Giambra leads a national team of schedulers working at various sites across the United States with a current construction portfolio valued over $1 billion. Mr. Giambra and his team specialize in Federal projects, data centers, and the skill of distilling simple, powerful, and actionable information from large data sets.

Mr. Giambra has over a decade of experience with CPM scheduling and project controls. Before joining Aegis, Mr. Giambra was a senior scheduler at an international consulting firm. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland and achieved certifications for AACEI’s Project Scheduling Professional and PMI’s PMI-Scheduling Professional.

Raghavi Palwai

Senior Vice President, Mid-Atlantic

Raghavi Palwai is a Chief Scheduler with Aegis Project Controls, leading a team of project controls professionals with over 60 projects in their portfolio. Ms. Palwai has a verifiable track record of bringing innovative solutions to the table and successfully executing and completing multimillion-dollar projects on schedule and on budget. She brings more than fifteen years of relevant field and office experience in most facets of construction project management and project controls, including development of detailed baseline schedules, maintenance of project schedules, earned value management, time impact analysis, risk management, Monte Carlo analysis, and disputes resolution, including commercial, residential, hotels, bridges, water treatment plants, schools/ universities, federal and public sector projects. In addition to project controls, Ms. Palwai’s work experience includes developing and managing client relationships, pre-construction management and contractor procurement, project scope and document review, specifications and contract review, constructability reviews, preparation/maintenance of risk register, project quantity takeoffs/estimates, project closeout management, change order analysis and life cycle cost analysis.

Brent Sadauskas

President, Dispute Resolution

Brent Sadauskas is a highly-respected dispute resolution and risk management expert with over 33 years of domestic and international experience. He is a testifying expert in forensic delays, loss of productivity, costs, project management and scheduling. He has testified in the United States District Court, American Arbitration Association, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and Dispute Resolution Boards.

In addition to his dispute resolution assets, Brent is able to identify, assess and assist with mitigating potential risks from pre-bid through final close-out. Brent specializes in highly complex government and private sector construction projects.

Mr. Sadauskas holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Virginia. He loves spending time with his wife and two kids and if at all possible, doing that on the golf course. He is also a devoted fan of his beloved Stoke City Football Club.

Jay Yap

Vice President, Southwest

Jay Yap is a Chief Scheduler with Aegis Project Controls, where he leads a team of project control engineers. Mr. Yap’s tenure began in 2009, allowing him to be an integral part of Aegis’ foundation and growth. He has over 25 years of worldwide experience in the field of engineering, construction, scheduling, and planning to deliver quality work product to his clients. He believes that investing time in the planning and scheduling stages of the project provides the client better control and delivery of a successful project. He has worked on hundreds of various projects from pre-construction to construction, developing a strong reputation and rapport with clients.

Mr. Yap holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. When not planning major construction projects, he enjoys the outdoors and works on completing his dream to get a private pilot’s license.

Amin Azizi

Senior Director, Dispute Resolution

Amin Azizi is a testifying expert and serves as a Senior Director in the Dispute Resolution department. He specializes in creative problem solving and robust analytical examinations. In addition to being adept and well versed at all the well-recognized diagnostic methodologies, his true strength lies in his ability to synthesize highly complex concepts into easily understandable ideas that clients can understand. His analytic proficiencies include, but are not limited to: Forensic delay allocations, As-Planned vs. As-Builts, Time Impact Analyses (TIA), Loss of Productivity Analyses, and Acceleration/Mitigation Analyses throughout the lifecycle of a Project. Mr. Azizi is also experienced with performing cost analyses including Proof of Cost demonstrations, Termination Damages quantification, Total Cost and Modified Total Cost analyses.

Mr. Azizi’s experience with disputes spans many industries and regions throughout the U.S. and in Europe. In addition to his experience in dispute resolution, Mr. Azizi previously worked as a Project Controls Engineer where he had fulltime involvement on a renowned Silicon Valley mega project that exceeded $6 billion. Prior to joining Aegis, Amin earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
